Psychotherapy

Psychotherapists help individuals and couples navigate emotional challenges, develop healthier relationships, and explore patterns that impact well-being. Through evidence-based and relational approaches, psychotherapy supports healing, self-awareness, and meaningful change.

Why I Do What I Do:

I come to this work with a heart that knows how harsh the world can be, and deep respect for the courage it takes to keep showing up.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in healthcare: walking alongside people through crisis intervention, addiction and trauma recovery, grief counselling, and community and hospital care for both physical and mental health. Those years taught me that healing isn’t about fixing; it’s about being understood.

I know what it’s like to move through a world not built for every mind or nervous system. My practice honours difference: the sensitive, the deep feelers, the ones told they are too much or not enough.

Therapy, to me, is a deeply human process: meeting you where you are, slowing down enough to listen, and rebuilding the self-worth and belonging that life may have fractured.

Who I Work With & What We Might Explore:

Together, we explore what it means to feel seen, connected, and grounded again, in yourself and in your relationships.

Self-Worth & Identity: Rediscovering who you are when you’ve spent years trying to be enough for everyone else.

Anxiety, Depression & Trauma: Rebuilding steadiness, safety, and self-trust when life feels too heavy.

Relationships & Couples: Learning to love without losing yourself, and to feel emotionally safe in connection.

Family Dynamics: Healing the systems and silences that shaped how you learned to belong.

Boundaries & Communication: Finding the courage to speak clearly, listen deeply, and stay rooted in truth.

Neurodivergent Experience: Integrating both study and lived experience to support sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs with regulation, self-trust, and pride.

Grief & Loss: Mourning not only people, but also dreams, roles, and versions of yourself that had to survive.

Military & Veteran Experience: Supporting service members, partners, and families seeking identity, steadiness, and reconnection after service.

Healthcare Workers & Caregivers: For those who hold everyone else together and are learning to extend that same care inward.

Authenticity & Belonging: Exploring what it means to live truthfully in identity, love, and self-expression, and to create belonging that feels like home.

How I Support Clients

I’m an Attunement-Focused Therapist working within an integrative approach I created, called Attuned-Rhythmic Therapy (ART). It is just a philosophy of presence that moves with your nervous system, emphasizing safety, rhythm, and readiness before change.

Rooted in trauma-aware, neurodivergent-affirming, and culturally responsive care, it integrates both heart and science.

Core Approaches I Draw From:

Existential Therapy — exploring meaning, freedom, and what it means to come home to yourself in an uncertain world.

Adlerian Therapy — cultivating belonging, purpose, and encouragement as you rediscover your place within community and self.

Attachment-Based & Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — deepening emotional awareness, strengthening relational safety, and supporting repair within yourself and your relationships.

Polyvagal-Informed Practice — understanding nervous system rhythms, cues of safety, and how the body shapes emotional experience and readiness for change.

EMDR-Informed Training (in progress) — expanding trauma-focused care with evidence-based processing approaches.

Integrated Tools for Insight and Regulation:

CBT, DBT & Somatic Practices — grounding the body, calming the mind, and supporting emotional and cognitive balance through skills like mindfulness, emotional awareness, distress tolerance, and nervous system stabilizing practices.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) — exploring the inner parts of self with compassion, nurturing understanding and inner leadership.

Gottman Method Strategies — strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, and repairing patterns in couples therapy.

A Closing Note:

If something here resonates, I’d be honoured to connect.
